DIVINE VALUES PROJECTS

Under the Divine Values Projects, the NCF is producing and sharing pocket-sized prayers to support people who have lost a dear family member. The NCF is teaming up with local churches and hospitals in Lebanon to distribute prayers free of charge especially in times of funerals and memorials. So far, more than 150,000 prayers have been distributed in Arabic, English, and French.

Along this process, independent families have requested those prayers to distribute within their own private events, especially when they have lost loved ones. The feedback of this project highlights a big comfort and peace among those grieving families which is the main aim behind this initiative.

The prayers are the following:

1. If You Love Me, Do Not Cry – St Augustine
2. Universal Prayer – Pope Clement XI
3. The Doxology

On the other hand, the NCF is producing prayers especially to cover the baptism and wedding ceremonies. The baptism ones are being printed on blue and pink pocket sized papers. the prayers are from the Psalms:

1. Psalm 23 of David – The Lord is my Shepherd

2. Psalm 96 of David – Sing to the Lord

The Wedding Prayer has been written by Naji’s mother, Sana Cherfan who was inspired by various biblical writings. This prayer can be downloaded in the following languages:

Under the Divine Values Project, the NCF has launched the “HOPE” project which aims to provide in-kind donations to vulnerable groups such as orphans and families in need, and so to support them in their efforts to strengthen their faith, health and education.

Within this line, NCF is teaming up with church-based organizations to locate needy families. The NCF volunteers are the dynamo behind this project, as they are the ones performing needs assessment visits and identifying urgent needs through several visits. Thanks to the NCF volunteers this new project has been able to support a big number of families from the poorest of the poor.
